The Riches Plot

Welcome to the unofficial fan site for the hit TV show The Riches. The Riches is about a family of con artists who are part of an extended criminal family known as the Travelers. One thing leads to another and at some point the Malone family finds themselves on the run after stealing a large sum of money from their extended family. While on the run they stumble upon an affluent family that has just died in a car crash on a remote Louisiana highway. So what does your average con artist grifter family do in a situation like this? Simple, they assume the lives of the dead couple( The Rich Family) and attempt to settle into an affluent suburban community where their previous identities are unknown. Now, they must act like the law abiding citizens which by its self presents a unique set of pressures and challenges. Added to their difficult period of adjustment, Wayne must also keep a weather eye out for the vengeful Travelers, who are intent upon vengeance. FX The Riches Cast Eddie Izzard plays Malone, the father, who is in the middle of a midlife crisis and begins to question their lifestyle. The car crash, he believes, is the perfect time to all it quits and finaly lead a normal life. The-Riches Newsflash! The FX network will air the second season of "The Riches" sometime in the first quarter of 2008. The most likely start date according to insiders would be around the March time frame. The network reported that the show was an instant hit with viewers and will be renewed for another season along with its other hit show "Dirt". A spokesman for the network stated that "The Riches" drew a cumulative 5.9 million viewers per week which is in line with some of their other hit TV shows. I've noticed it twice. Minnie Driver is exceptional. The props & production values are spot-on and expensive-looking. I couldn't think of anything anyone could possibly do to this show to improve it with the exception of the long, long times between seasons. That doesn't contribute to a cohesive thread.
